2025-2026 Academic Year Fall Semester Associate and Bachelor’s Degree Programs Transfer Guide via Central Placement Score (Additional Article 1)

LEGISLATION

1) For the Fall and Spring Semester Additional Article 1 Implementation Principles determined by the Council of Higher Education, click here. 

2) Article 8 titled "Transfer with Central Placement Score" of the Gazi University Associate and Undergraduate Programs Transfer Directive states: "(1) The application calendar for transfers with central placement score, the principles regarding student quotas, and the procedures and principles of transfer are determined by the Higher Education Executive Board. (2) If the student's central placement score in the year of enrollment is equal to or higher than the base score of the diploma program they wish to transfer to in that year, the student may apply for transfer, including the preparatory class. (3) Applications are ranked within programs from highest to lowest central placement score. Starting from the student with the highest score, as many candidates as the quota allows are accepted for transfer."

Applications will be made online. Applications in person or by mail will not be accepted.

APPLICATION PROCESS

  • The online application system will be open between August 1-15, 2025.
  • Application documents must be uploaded to the online application system.
  • If the uploaded documents are not legible or if the score entered into the system is different from the score on the exam result documents, applications will be canceled.
  • After uploading documents to the system, the application must be submitted.
  • Students who will apply with DGS and Bachelor's Completion-ALÜGS scores must use the DGS and Bachelor's Completion-ALÜGS tab in the application system.
  • Applicants are responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the uploaded documents and declared information.
  • All applications of those who apply with more than one username will be deemed invalid.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Applicants wishing to transfer to a different program must select 1 (one) as their application class in the system.
  • Candidates who have only received preparatory education or have not taken any courses during their education do not need to upload the transcript and course content required during the application.
  • Applications with missing documents will not be processed even if made on time.
  • Applications will not be evaluated if the uploaded documents are not legible.
  • If it is determined that the score on the exam result document and the placement score entered into the online system are different, the application will be rejected.
  • The list of candidates who are eligible for transfer will be announced on the website of Gazi University Student Affairs Department (http://ogris.gazi.edu.tr/).

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

In order for the application to be considered, the specified documents must be submitted by the application deadline. Applications with missing documents will not be considered.

  1. Student certificate obtained within the last month (documents obtained via e-Government are valid). In order for the candidate's YÖKSİS information to be queried, the barcode number on the student certificate obtained from e-Government must be entered into the relevant section of the system and the query operation must be performed.
  2. Placement result document for the year and program in which the student was placed by ÖSYM, with the "Result Document Control Code" on it.
  3. Exam result document for the year in which the student was placed by ÖSYM, with the "Result Document Control Code" on it.
  4. A document showing that transfer was not previously made under Additional Article 1 (This will be requested if no explanatory information regarding the student's registration can be accessed in YÖKSİS during the application check.)
  5. Transcript document (can be wet signed, e-signed or QR coded document obtained from e-Government) (Candidates who have only received preparatory education or have not taken any courses do not need to upload the transcript document required during the application.)
  6. Document showing that the student has not received any disciplinary penalty
  7. Course contents (Course content or an information package link showing the course contents for all courses taken during the education period, necessary for credit transfer and adaptation procedures) (Candidates who have only received preparatory education or have not taken any courses do not need to upload the course content document required during the application.)
  8. For candidates applying to the TUSAŞ-Kazan Vocational School of Aircraft Technology Program: Criminal Record Certificate and Health Report
  9. For candidates applying to the Faculty of Pharmacy: a document showing the entire curriculum (all 10 semesters of courses)

NOTE: There is no evening education program at our university.

WARNING: Since program selection is already made at the beginning of the application process, your application will be completed when you click the SAVE AND CONTINUE button in the last stage, "Program Preferences" section, in the application status screen without making any additional preference.

NOTE: The evaluation process of applications will be carried out by the student affairs and adaptation commissions of the relevant academic units, and you must contact the academic unit you applied to for information regarding the process.

LOCATION, DATE AND TIME OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY EXAMS

Students applying for transfer to our university’s programs with a compulsory foreign language preparatory class from another higher education institution in Turkey must, regardless of whether they have previously received foreign language preparatory education or not, be successful in the foreign language proficiency exam to be administered by the School of Foreign Languages.

STUDENTS WHO TRANSFERRED FROM OUR UNIVERSITY TO OTHER UNIVERSITIES WITH CENTRAL PLACEMENT SCORE AND WANT TO RETURN

Students who, while studying at our university, transferred to another higher education institution within the scope of Additional Article 1, can return to their program registered at our university in the subsequent application periods.

Students wishing to return may apply in person or through an authorized person with a power of attorney from a notary, together with the following documents obtained from the higher education institution they are registered at by transfer, between 1-15 August 2025:

1) Student certificate,

2) Transcript,

3) Course contents, and may apply to the student affairs unit of the relevant faculty/vocational school together with these documents.

Applications submitted outside the specified period, or with photocopies, faxes, uncertified, or incomplete documents, will not be accepted.
